Bay and Bow Windows

Force 8 is the only company in the UK than manufacture a one piece Upvc bow window. Unlike other companies that use several sections of Upvc together, Force 8 use state of the art production techniques that allow us to manufacture smooth and streamline arches out of one piece of profile. Our one piece method adds greater strength and stability to your design. If you wish to create a feature to an already existing flat window, Force 8 would suggest installing a bay window.

Bow windows differ from bay windows due to the fact that bow windows can usually be fitted in hours whereas bay windows involve more work throughout the installation process as the windows can be dropped to the floor as if it was a home extension. In addition to this, bay windows overall structure consists of a picture with two other windows that are usually smaller. Due to the angular lines of contemporary bay windows they are often considered more suitable for modern homes. Also bow windows allow more light to come into a room due to there being more glass panels. Bow windows can also allow your house to be more unique due to the fact that they can be wrapped around the corner of a building which then allows for a view from two sides of the house.

The semi – circular outer structure design of the bow window is ideal for all types of architecture

When this technique was first exhibited, viewers mistook the frame for real wood until closer inspection proved it that this frame was in fact Upvc and was looked just as desirable as real wood but without the drawbacks of twisting and warping.

We offer the choice of fibre glass, UPVC, lead or tiled to be added to the top of the window. There is the option to have your bay window in white, mahogany and bay window sash, this will add high security and low maintenance benefits. Our glazing choices can be suited to the rest of your home, ranging from clear glass, lead and stained glass patterns.
