PAS24 Security Testing On The Decadence Door Range

On 18th June, some of the Force 8 team went to ERA Home Security’s Test House in Willenhall, West Midlands to have some of their exclusive composite doors from the Decadence door range PAS 24 tested.

ERA’s Test House is fully UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited to be able to put all products through this rigorous testing. Furthering this, ERA is fully equipped to be able to test all windows and doors to industry standards and casement windows, sash windows and single and double doors can all be tested to the latest British Standards. Their team of experienced engineers will be able to provide you witha UKAS accredited report in full, depending on the company’s requirements.

As this test has become more demanding, the PAS24: 2016 gives composite doors exactly three minutes in which they must survive an attack using two chisels (a 6mm and a 25mm) and a Stanley knife. The door fails if the tester can cut a 50mm hole that is large enough to get an arm through and open the door within the three minutes.

The test was completed on Force 8’s decadence door range,in particular the Zermatt door. The Zermatt door is completely unique to Force 8 and is available as a smooth finish or grained finish GRP composite door slab. This is also the first two tone composite door that has been seen on the market, providing for an aesthetically pleasing finish.

The results show that Force 8 has successfully passed the PAS24 testing.
